Bembridge Harbour
Bembridge harbour – visited by many, known by few. After a period of decline, Bembridge harbour was bought by Malcolm and his wife Fiona in 2011 and since then they have carried out many improvements. They have invested in replacement pontoons, management software, equipment and training. They established a 3 year dredging cycle and installed a live feed tide gauge. All this has helped to revitalise and rejuvenate the harbour and to re-establish it as a Solent destination. Further developments are anticipated but have been the subject of complex planning procedures. Malcolm will tell us about the history and future of this important part of England’s heritage.
