Joe was a student at Aberystwyth, and tells how he came to spend his student life living on board a small yacht – ‘Golden Cloud’ a 23ft Falmouth Gypsy which cost a mere £800. He kept the boat at Ynyslas boatyard which is within easy cycling distance of the University. We shall also hear about his adventurous trip down to his home on the Isle of Wight and a trip to Greenland. Most of us have fond memories of our student days, yet to have your digs written up in the National Press is a great tale for the grand children and an achievement few can emulate.
