Description
Resident in East Africa and the Middle East for many years, Kevin qualified as a diver while serving in the RAF. On return to Kenya, he worked on two major ship salvage operations and later began a career as a commercial diver in the oilfields of Saudi Arabia.
Later, as ship salvage specialists based in Bahrain, he and a partner completed several successful salvage operations in the Arabian Gulf and East Africa. Kevin has published articles and books on East African military/transport history and on shipwrecks. He received two naval literary prizes for East African naval research and a French honour for discovering the truth behind two 1950s Air France DC-4 aircraft crashes in the Middle East.
