Country Walk – 11th May 2026 – Burnham Beeches

11 May @ 10:15 AM 2:00 PM BST

Country Walk @ 10:30am

Lunch @ 12:30pm

Description

Join us for a surprisingly interesting walk around Burnham Beeches, followed by a sumptious self-funded Pub Lunch at The Royal Oak pub, Farnham Common

If you’re not up to walking, just come for lunch.

The plan is to meet up in the Car-Park at Burnham Beeches Car Park at 10:15, with the walk starting at 10:30. The walk will be quite easy going on the flat, following the route recommended by the Historical Trail leaflet.

We’ll update the message below, on the morning of the walk, if there are any changes to our plans (eg. foul weather).

The Walk is ON

The long walk is about 5 miles, and should take around 2 hours to complete. There are plenty of options to shorten the walk, for people with less stamina.

After returning to the Car Park, we’ll take the short 2 minute ride (0.7 miles) to The Emporer, for lunch at 12:30.

Order your own food and drinks from the standard menu, when we get to the pub.

The walk is completely amateur. You join at your own risk. Please only attend if you’re fit and able to walk in the prevailing conditions.

  • Check the weather forecast before coming
  • Walking conditions are could be quite muddy and slippery underfoot, in places.
  • Bring substantial footwear (waterproof walking boots, or wellingtons with good walking tread).
  • You may want to consider a change of clothing, in-case you fall over, or cover your trousers in mud
  • Bring Walking Boots, and appropriate clothing.

See you there !!!
