What’s Happening

GXSA’s first Rally of 2026. It’s some time until the Sailing Season actually starts, but the Bembridge Rally last November showed that there are some tough souls out there. We thought we’d start early, and see what happens !!

We’re going to Premier Universal Marina at Warsash, near the top of the River Hamble.

Dinner will be at the Riverside Social. Ive not been there myself, but I’m told it’s excellent. I’m looking forward to it.

I expect there to be quite a strong demand for places. Please book early using the form below, to avoid disappointment. Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Book early to book your place in the queue. At this time, bookings are Provisional, and you can cancel at any time.

GXSA members that are logged-in to the website will get most of their details automatically transcribed from their Website Profile (if information is missing, you may want to update your profile, to reduce typing next time).

Information is trickling out of the Marina and Restaurant. We’ll update you when we know more, which should be pretty soon.

Deadlines

Most of this is nearly resolved, but watch this space:

Marina

We have reserved 10 berths, possibility to increase to 15 berths.

We’ve decided to reserve:

  • 3 berths for GXSA
  • 3 berths for Yateley
  • 3 berths for Cruising Association

The remaining berths will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.

Book your boat in using the form below, to get onto the list ! Deadline 08:00 Thursday 26th February

Make sure to indicate the total number of people in your crew, so we can allocate Restaurant places effectively.

Restaurant

We’re waiting on more news on exactly how the restaurant wants to manage food orders; probably selection from a set menu – this to be published in the near future. To get an idea of prices, their menu is available online, here

Maximum number of diners is 25 people, so make sure to get yourself and your party onto the list, by completing the form, below.

Deadline for confirming food choices is likely to be 08:00 Thursday 26th February

Agenda

GXSA Regulars will know the proven format for the weekend:

  • Find a friendly Skipper, with a boat
  • Pontoon Party starts at 6:00pm. An opportunity to catch up with friends, and make new friends.
  • Dinner starts at 7:30pm, having been pre-ordered from the menu, below (if you’ve logged in).
  • The party continues until everyone’s exhausted
  • Sunday morning sees a variety of potential activities – To Be Decided
  • We could even turn it into a dinghy invasion fleet !!
  • Departure for home around midday, Sunday
  • It’s likely that some boats/skippers will extend the weekend beforehand, or afterwards – mostly to catch a fair tide up Southampton Water.
  • Skippers – Please confirm your boat and plans by email. Who will be in your crew? Do you intend to join us Friday evening? Any other plans.
  • No Boat? – Let us know if you’d like to come along: Use the web-form. We can usually find a kindly skipper who can offer you a berth.
