How to take part….

The Peter Batterley Trophy for Photo-Journalism will be awarded for the third time in March 2017.  This article tells you how to submit an entry, and how to vote.

Voting closes on Sunday 12th March 2017

 Contributing

Please get out your typewriters, and photo albums, and submit an article or two that you think people will enjoy reading.  There are several ways you can contribute:

  1. The easiest approach is to create your article in Microsoft Word, or another word processor, as you would like it to appear.   When you’re ready, email it to stuart.gaunt@gmail.com, and I’ll convert the article for use on the GXSA website.
  2. Alternatively, you may have a Blog or another website that you would like to be considered.  Let me know where to find the site, and I’ll put a link to it on this page.
  3. If you have any other ideas about how you would like to contribute, let me know, and we’ll make it happen.

Voting

You wil need to be logged-in to the GXSA website so that you can vote.   If you’ve lost your login details, see the articles about recoving your username and password

Each of the articles that have been submitted have a Peter Batterley rating shown at the top of the page like this:

{extravote 100}

Simply decide how much you like the article, and give it a star rating, by clicking the appropriate star (or half star).  You can vote for each article, and you can change your mind; it may be that you may revise your opinion after reading other articles.  The vote that counts is the one that is in-play when voting closes.

Your vote is private – nobody else can see what you voted, so no need to be embarassed about your vote.
