If you're having difficulty with this process, try the following tips:

1) Are you using the latest verification code.  I suggest that you delete all emails with verification codes in them.  I remember getting very confused myself, using gmail, because of the way it stacks up emails - I had been trying to use an old verification code, and not the current valid code.  After you have deleted all the old emails, request a new code in the normal way, and try that.
2) Don't try to re-type the verification code.  It's too long, and you WILL make mistakes.  Instead, use Cut and Paste to copy the verification code.
3) Are you using cut and paste on the verification code only, and NOT catching any leading or trailing spaces.  The easiest way is to "double-click" the verification code, and paste it into the website.   However, I know that sometimes when we double-click, it also catches a space before or after a word, so best to make sure, that only the letters are highlighted.  One technique I've used before now when I've been confused in situations like this is to type double quotes into the website, then position the cursor between them, paste (to check that I did actuallycut what I THOUGHT I had cut), then delete the quotes.
4) Are you using the correct username.  People have been known to drop the space in their usernames (I guess that it's a little unusual to allow spaces in usernames).  Your username is May be "Fly Fishing", which includes the space, between the words, and no spaces before or after.
Good Luck
