“London’s More Important River” - Jeremy Batch
Members will recall Jeremy’s fascinating talk last year when, with excellent illustrations, he recounted the detailed history of LimehouseBasin. We are privileged that he can again address us, this time onLondon’s more important river, which you will have guessed is not theThames. Jeremy is a famous local historian, and also the lock keeper at Limehouse. His stories are fascinating and of interest to everyone from historians, yachtsman and even barge skippers.
Come along to this our first meeting of this season, and enjoy the talk, learn a little more and meet up with old friends. As ever visitors are very welcome.
