Take a look at this page\, where we try to explain the general format\, then come back to this page\, and book a place!! We’d be pleased to have you along \n\n\n\nWhere are we going? \n\n\n\nWe are going to Littlehampton Harbour and mooring on the Town Quay on the eastern side if the River Arun. \n\n\n\nTiming is critical as you enter the harbour entrance as it dries to about 1m on low tides and there is a Training Wall that is submerged at half-tide. \n\n\n\nWhat are the plans for dinner? \n\n\n\nIt is anticipated that we will end up in one of the local restaurants – further details to follow. \n\n\n\nThere is expected to be quite a strong demand for places. Please book early using the form below\, to avoid disappointment. Places will be allocated on a first come\, first served basis. Book early to book your place in the queue. At this time\, bookings are Provisional\, and you can cancel at any time. \n\n\n\nGXSA members that are logged-in to the website will get most of their details automatically transcribed from their Website Profile (if information is missing\, you may want to update your profile\, to reduce typing next time). \n\n\n\nInformation is trickling out of the Marina and Restaurant. DESCRIPTION:Country Walk from 10:45am \n\n\n\nLunch @ 12:30pm \n\n\n\nDescription\n\n\nThis will be a self-guided walk around Black Park\, a Country Park in the East part of the Burnham Beeches forest\, followed by meeting for lunch or a snack at the Black Park San Remo cafe near the car park at 12.30. \n\n\n\nIf you’re not up to walking\, just come to the cafe. \n\n\n\nThe plan is to meet up in the Black Park Car-Park\, (Black Park Road SL3 6DS) at 10:45\, with the walk starting at 11.00. There are good walking trails through the forest\, you can go around the lake or you can just go straight to the cafe!.. \n\n\n\nPlease note there is a charge for parking (cashless payment: up to 2 hours £4.60\, 2 to 4 hours £5.50). \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nThe Walk is ON \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\nThe walk is completely amateur.  You join at your own risk. SUMMARY:Rally to Marchwood - 8th August 2026
DESCRIPTION:What’s Happening\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nWhere are we going? \n\n\n\n Marchwood Yacht Club\, which has its own pontoon moorings which are situated at the head of Southampton Water\, close to the Southampton Container Port. Pontoon access from the water is available at all states of the tide and they provide walk ashore to the Marchwood Clubhouse.  \n\n\n\nThere are limitations on the number of boats that can be rafted together on the outside of the pontoon as the very large container ships need all the space they can get to turn around! Hence booking is essential. On arrival please contact the rally organiser so that he can organise the berthing accordingly.  \n\n\n\nThe Clubhouse houses the club restaurant and a good bar at club prices! Our previous rallies to Marchwood have been very successful and enjoyed by everyone.  \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nWhat are the plans for dinner? \n\n\n\nAfter the obligatory pontoon party for everyone you can retire to the Marchwood Clubhouse for pre-dinner drinks before the evening meal. The menu options will be provide later\, your selection can be pre-ordered to aid the group catering.   \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nI expect there to be quite a strong demand for places.
