2025 Marchwood Yacht Club, Southampton Water

IT’S HAPPENING !!! After a little doubt, we can confirm that this rally to Marchwood Yacht Club is ON, for 16th August !!

A return visit to Marchwood Yacht Club, at the top of Southampton Water. Marvel at the huge ships turning on a sixpence and enjoy a lovely evening in the Club House.

NB: The event is being hosted by MYC, and managed by our friends at Yateley Offshore Group. Booking is via GXSA, using our webform, below.

If this is your first GXSA rally, or you’d like us to find a boat for you to join, sign up the wait-list on the webform, below.

If you’re a skipper, or you know which boat you’re joining, fill in the appropriate details.

If you’re already a GXSA member, and you’re logged in to the website, the form will auto-populate from your website profile, to make signing-up really easy.

Regulars will know the proven format for the weekend:

• Find a friendly Skipper, with a boat
• Pontoon Party starts around 5:30pm. An opportunity to catch up with friends, and make new friends.
• Dinner usually starts around 7:30pm, having been pre-ordered from the menu. Members will receive the menu by email and it is shown below. YOU NEED TO CHOOSE YOUR MENU NOW! Please add your choices clearly to the Comments section on the Booking WebForm, below, one line for each person in your party. Closing date for bookings and meal choices is 9th August.
• Starters:
• Tomato soup served with a roll and butter,
• Seafood Cocktail on a bed of lettuce, served with brown bread,
• Pate served with oatcakes and chutney.
• Mains
• Hunters Chicken served with baby potatoes and vegetables.
• Macaroni & Cheese with side salad and garlic bread.
• Fish pie served with seasonal vegetables.
• Desserts
• Lemon Cheesecake.
• Sticky Toffee Pudding.
• Chocolate fudge cake
• Cost is £24.95
• The party continues until everyone’s exhausted
• Sunday morning sees a variety of potential activities – Probably, a walk to Elling Tide Mill.
• Departure for home around midday, Sunday
• It’s likely that some boats/skippers will extend the weekend beforehand, or afterwards – mostly to catch a fair tide up Southampton Water.

• Skippers – Please confirm your boat details on the webform. Closing date for bookings is 9th August. Who will be in your crew? It’s Neaps, so flood tide up Southampton Water all-day. Do you intend to join us Friday evening, perhaps in Cowes? Any other plans? Add them in the Comments field on the webform, and we can discuss our options!
• No Boat? – Let us know if you’d like to come along: Use the web-form. We can usually find a kindly skipper who can offer you a berth.
