2023 Folly Rally (June 3rd - 4th) - Gerrards Cross Sailing Association

We’ll update this page as the plans come together.

All Solent yachties know the Folly Inn on the Medina River, south of Cowes.

We’ve secured the walk-ashore pontoons, but some people may prefer the mid-river pontoon.

GXSA Regulars will know the proven format for the weekend:

Find a friendly Skipper, with a boat
Make your way to Cowes, then carry on up the Medina, and moor at the Folly Inn.
Pontoon Party starts at 6:00pm. An opportunity to catch up with friends, and make new friends.
Dinner starts at 7:30pm. This will be a la carte, ordered and paid by you, on the night.
The party continues until everyone’s exhausted
Sunday morning sees a variety of potential activities: Coffee in the Folly, A walk into Newport (or half-way, to Island Harbour) for coffee, a dinghy ride upstream to Newport for coffee. Take your pick.
Departure for home around midday.
